A rival in some respects to Goodwood Revival, this weekend features six grids of stunning cars from all eras running through the night and into the early hours.
For example, the 1949-56 grid has plenty of D and C Type Jaguars, 1962-65 is a Ferrari feast, and 1972-81 the era in which the Gulf Mirage excelled.
There is also a Group C event on Saturday which has preceding qualifying races. This is serious racing, with classic cars, and held every two years.
Le Mans Classic is a wonderful opportunity for motor racing enthusiasts to hear and see Circuit de la Sarthe as it was.
