How to Get Involved
Each day of the Isle of Wight’s action-packed week sees around 8,500 sailors race on the challenging waves stretching between the island and the south coast of England. It’s here that you’ll get to see the biggest names in sailing, including world champions and Olympians, competing alongside amateur sailors and yacht racers from all walks of life.
There are also plenty of opportunities for visitors to get involved, with the Crew Forum allowing you to meet other sailors and perhaps join a sailing crew to compete in the races.
Alternatively, if you’d prefer to simply watch the races taking place, there are plenty of ways to take in the full spectacle of Cowes Week. As well as watching from the shore, you can also jump on board a spectator boat to get even closer to the action. There’s also plenty to see and do on shore, with live music, shops, nightclubs and a general festival atmosphere – it’s the perfect opportunity to socialise with other like-minded sailors and enthusiasts.
